Brevard Professional Network (BPN) is an Independent Practice Association (IPA) consisting of approximately 250 physicians representing all medical and geographical coverage in Brevard County, Florida.
Brevard County, Florida is located in East Central Florida approximately 50 miles due east of Orlando. Brevard County is known as the Space Coast due to the Kennedy Space Center and the Space Shuttle. Brevard's highest concentration of aerospace highest tech companies that support NASA represent a large portion of the workforce. Major cities include Titusville, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Melbourne, and Palm Bay. Brevard County has a population of over 600,000 residents, and is home to approximately 250,000 snowbirds during the winter months.

BPN was formed in 1995 to provide a vehicle for physicians to maintain their independent practice of medicine, yet be part of a large negotiating entity. Through an independent practice association, members benefit as part of a larger organization in negotiating manage care contracts and other services.

Today, BPN has blossomed into a full service IPA providing a network for twenty four insurance companies in Brevard County. BPN's compliment of services include utilization management, network management, credentialing, and claim processing. Services provided by the IPA are dependant on the level of contracting with the managed care company.

The goal of Brevard Professional Network is to provide the highest quality medical care to patients, yet assume the responsibility of cost effectiveness and appropriate care. BPN is also seeking additional self insured employers in Brevard County for direct contracts and utilization management services.
